Riding the ferry to the Statue of Liberty, I felt excitement and awe. This symbol of freedom and democracy is one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks. The impressive statue, towering over the waters of the Hudson Bay, serves as a reminder of the long journey many immigrants undertook in pursuit of a better life in America.
